The Seradane Ideal

Seradane is a casual competitive raiding guild. The casual part means that there are only 3 raids a week, we only raid 10man content and we value and respect each other as people and as friends. The competitive part means that when we raid, we really raid. That means high requirements to skill, dedication and attendance. The overall goal is to progress through 10man raiding content as fast as possible within this framework.

All those who are interested and feel this is the place for them, must read the Seradane Guild Charter.

As of 20th of July 2011 Seradane have decided to no longer continue within competitive semi-hardcore raiding. We have been actively raiding ten man content for over two and a half year on Ravenholdt-EU. We've had some great times, some great memories and had the privilage to play with amazing people. But as time has drifted by the majority of our raid team decided to either quit WoW or stop raiding as they are no longer enjoying it, hence the decission to go casual as a guild.

We'd like to thank all of our members, both current and past for a nice time we've had while playing together.
We'd personally like to thank some of the long term players who were part of the guild for making it an enjoyable experience;
Whiskérs, Maylie, Aerya/Maghan, Wraix, Vraxi, Rewq, Spinxx, Metro, Marvynn, Ohava, Gothia, Korvmoj, Dilinqo, Spreadchoas, Vakh, Luis, Sonn, Atahualpa, Caaine, Serbec, Adorabull, Draakul and Aamoo. Hopefully we'll still see everyone from time to time.

So last raid reset we knew Alysrazor was going to fall and she did very easily, I can say the fight is very simple once you get to know all of the mechanics. After Alysrazor we stopped of at Majordomo and killed him also another simple fight which requires healers to be on heir toes just ragnaros until we start progressing on heroic modes hopefully we can get some good time on him this week and possibly a kill.

So I may have been a little lazy with updating the front page. Last week we actually killed two more bosses Baleroc and Lord Rhyolith we would have killed Baleroc much sooner had we not spent some time trying the solo tank method which was hotfixed that day, this week we cleared everything that we'd already killed with the much appriciated help of Gothia and Aerya who are ment to be taking some time off at the moment but without them we would have had to cancel two raids. We also made some great progress on Alysrazor she should die in the first few pulls on monday. Great job by everyone.

We started Firelands last night and had some fun killing Beth'tilac which seemed a little under tuned.. I forgot to take a screen shot of that so hopefully Korvmoj(who wasn't even there) will be kind enough to draw his interpritation of what the screen shot should have looked like. After Beth'tilac we moved on to Shannox, which took forever... please just stand in one place. We had a few hick ups and were trying to fix them and today found ways to totally avoid them which was great and he ended on an extreemly clean kill which I'm very happy about!



Thanks everyone who has been here the last two days it was a great job and more boss' will fall soon enough.

21 May 2011 - Heroic Valiona and Tharelion

Thursday night we brought Heroic Valiona and Tharelion to their knees. It's an interesting fight and luckily we have an amazing rogue Gothia would solo'd the Twilight Realm allowing everyone else to deal with the fight as normal. That said we were only two seconds from the enrage timer we had a dps die at around 60% I guess the next kill will be much cleaner, although this one wasn't too shabby for a first kill. Congratulation to everyone who was there on thursday for the kill and those who were there on wednesday while we were trying to figure out how best to deal with the mechanics and changes to our strat.

11 May 2011 - Heroic Magmaw and Heroic Chimaeron

The lag issues which have been plauging us seem to be coming to an end and finally we're able to start pushing some real progess. 3 Heroic progress boss' in 6 days is a nice roll. We killed Chimaeron on monday which i didn't update the news on our home page for and today made Magmaw fall over, congratulations to everyone who participated in those kills it was nice to see some excellent raiding this week.

We were missing our off tank so we went and pounded Maloriak HC after a few wipes he fell over and the few left standing were honoured with a nice little title for a short amount of time, we should hopefully have another two Heroics under our belts by the end of next week. Congrats to everyone who was there a great effort.

We were missing a tank this week for Chimaeron progress, so we had a quick look at Artamedes who decided to fall over quiet easily. Probably one of the easiest fights we've currently come against, well at least in my opinion. Just execute everything correctly, which isn't hard.

Congrats to everyone who was there for the kill.

On wednesday we killed our first heroic, Halfus HC. The boss was interesting and we took some time attempting it with only two tanks due to the fact we only have two main spec tanks and if we could develope a stratagy to kill him with two it would have much more beneficial. We eventually went with three tanks, one off spec and he then died switfly. Thanks to everyone who was part of both progress and the kill!

Yesterday we managed to get Nefarian to lie down and play dead. It was a great raid we had some fresh faces there and this was only our thrid raid against him the others being riddled with connection issues which seems to have come to an end. Congratulations to everyone who was there and everyone who have make this possible but were not there. Hard modes should start falling swiftly, lets get rolling.
